The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Friday's Best NCAAB Bet

Iona Gaels at Fairfield Stags (-3.5, 130)

Late last month, this seemed like a matchup to determine which team would win the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference regular-season title. But the Gaels have failed to hold up their end.

Iona (13-9, 7-4) has dropped three straight by a combined seven points – each game by no more than a bucket. Those setbacks to Loyola, Manhattan and Canisius have given the Stags a golden opportunity to take care of business at home.

And Fairfield (17-4, 10-1) doesn’t give away games at Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard. Even though the facility is off campus, the Stags are 9-2 SU and ATS in their past 11 home games. They have won five straight overall and 15 of their past 16.

One of the biggest keys has been the play of stud freshman Maurice Barrow. In a blowout win over Canisius, he posted 14 points and 12 rebounds in a career-high 38 minutes for his third double-double.

"Mo has been the silent assassin," Fairfield coach Ed Cooley said. "Everybody else is getting a lot of the pub, but I know what I am getting exactly out of Mo Barrow every night. He's close to a double-double in just about every MAAC game."

The 11 busloads of Fairfield students scheduled to make the trip to Harbor Yard should get to see him do it again.

Pick: Fairfield

PICK 'N' ROLL

Friday's Best NBA Bet

New York Knicks at Philadelphia 76ers (-3.5, 209)

Sixers point guard Jrue Holiday must be salivating with the Knicks coming to town. Holiday had his first career triple-double in a win over the Nets earlier this week, finishing with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

"I guess it just kind of came to me," Holiday said of the triple-double. "Every loose ball, every rebound, it just kind of came to me. You saw Andre (Iguodala) and Spencer (Hawes), you saw them running. If they're running, I'm going to pass it to them."

With up-tempo New York visiting, he should have plenty of teammates running down the floor to feed for open looks, and lots of rebounds to grab off the rim. And it’s not like Knicks lead guard Raymond Felton will slow him down. The past 10 games, Felton has failed to reach his scoring average eight times and his assist average six times as he continues to battle a sore hand. No surprise, the team is a mere 3-7 SU and just 4-5-1 ATS during that span.

"His hand is still bothering him, swollen up pretty good," Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni said. "But I just don't think it makes a difference. Obviously, it would be nice to hit all his shots, but we have to be a little bit more aggressive on the defensive end and get into people and want it a little bit more than them."

Right now, Holiday wants it most.

The Knicks should get a boost from the return of forward Wilson Chandler (16.8 ppg, 6.1 rpg), but it remains to be seen how effective he'll be after missing three games with calf and ankle ailments.

Pick: Philadelphia

Friday's Best NHL Bets

Buffalo Sabres at Pittsburgh Penguins (-145, 5.5)

It’s not the return of Sidney Crosby, but the Penguins got some great news this week. Center Evgeni Malkin is expected to return from a sinus infection that has kept him sidelined the past several days. And that’s bad news for the Buffalo Sabres.

"That's part of playing in the NHL -- you're rarely at 100 percent," Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said. "Dealing with that and playing your best given those circumstances is a challenge a lot of players go through on a yearly basis, and that's been a challenge for Geno."

Malkin, an MVP candidate, has 15 goals and 22 assists in just 40 games. And he has been an absolute Buffalo killer since 2008. Over his past nine games against the Sabres, he has notched 13 assists and added a goal to pace the Penguins.

This season the Sabres haven’t been able to keep up with Malkin or the Penguins. Buffalo is 0-2 against Pittsburgh this season, dropping the first matchup 1-0 before getting blasted in December, 5-2.

“We need a lot of different people to produce for us. We need the young guys, we need the old guys, we need defensemen getting on the scoresheet. It’s going to take a lot to get to where we want to go,” Buffalo coach Lindy Ruff said.

The Sabres will get somewhere eventually, but they won’t want to be in Pittsburgh Friday.

Pick: Pittsburgh

Washington Capitals at Tampa Bay Lightning (-125, 5.5)

The Capitals might soon petition the league to make all their power plays 6-on-4 situations, to actually have a chance to score.

Washington has lost three straight games due to a woeful power play that has converted just one of eight chances over that span. Not surprisingly, the team lost each of those games by a single goal.

Overall, the Capitals have lost seven of their past 10 games. Their stats up a man over that time? Two for their past 22. There is a reason the unit is ranked 19th in the league and converts a mere 17.4 percent of its chances.

Don’t expect the Lightning to be giving away any freebies, either. Tampa Bay is killing off 84.2 percent of its opponents chances – the 8th-best mark in the league – and has been even better during its six-game win streak. During that time, the Lightning has killed off 16 straight chances and 20 of 21 opportunities.

"Your goaltender has to be your best penalty killer," Tampa Bay center Nate Thompson said. "But also lots of communication, good clears, shot blocking, sticks in (shooting) lanes."

The teams have split four meetings this season. The predominant trend? Washington has three power play goals in their two wins, none in the two losses.

And the way Tampa Bay is playing shorthanded, don’t expect Washington to leave St. Pete Times Forum with a power play goal – or a win.

Pick: Tampa Bay

Bettors' Best Friend (BBF): Friday's Wagering Tips

Line To Watch

Cleveland at Memphis (-13.5, 204.5):This total opened at 202.5 at some books, and has risen two points. The over is 10-1 in the Cavs’ last 11 Friday games.

Who’s Hot?

Vancouver, which hosts Chicago, has won four straight by a combined score of 19-3. And the Canucks are 17-3-1-4 at home.

Who’s Not?

The Raptors, who host Minnesota, are on a 1-7 ATS skid and have lost 13 in a row straight up.

Injury Not To Be Overlooked

Thabo Sefolosha – Oklahoma City’s defensive stopper is questionable for the track meet at Phoenix after missing three straight with a sprained knee. Thunder center Nenad Krstic (7.6 ppg, 4.6 rpg) also is questionable after spraining his right foot in Wednesday’s win over the Hornets.

Game Of The Day

Dallas Mavericks at Boston Celtics (-6.5, 190.5)

Notable Quotable

“You want to be playing great at the end of the season and give yourself a shot, have a little confidence going in. It’s kind of like in ‘07 for us, we went in with great confidence, felt we were playing well, I think they did the same thing.’’ – New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning to the New York Post, comparing the No. 6-seeded Packers to his Super Bowl-winning team.

Tips And Notes

-- The Knicks get a key cog back Friday in Philadelphia when Wilson Chandler (16.8 ppg, 6.1 rpg) returns. The 6-8 forward missed the past three games with calf and ankle injuries. “I just had to make sure it’s 100 percent before I got back on the court,” Chandler told ESPNNewYork

-- Steelers 24, Packers 20. At least that’s the prediction from EA Sports’ “Madden” simulation. The video game has picked the winner in six of the last seven Super Bowls. For what it’s worth, “Madden” projects Mike Wallace as MVP with five catches for 111 yards and a touchdown.

-- Siena senior guard Clarence Jackson (15.9 ppg) called his status “up in the air” for Friday’s home game against Manhattan. He’s dealt with two sprained ankles that have forced him to miss nine games this season. Right now it’s the left ankle that’s bothering him. If he does play, Jackson will come off the bench.
